Enjoy the abundance of Main-Franconian nature by bike or on a hike. The Main Cycle Path connects Sommerhausen to the towns of Würzburg in the north and Ochsenfurt in the south. Here you can cover many kilometres without any challenging inclines. En route you can explore wonderful views and resting places along the fantastic banks of the Main.

Some of the best towns in the Main-Franconia region are close by. Würzburg is just 12 km to the north and is the home of some of Bavaria’s best-known sights, including the Residence palace or the Old Main Bridge. Just 8 km further lies Veitshöchheim with its rococo garden, castle and courtyard garden. Thanks to our central location, many other towns and cities such as Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, Coburg or Fulda are just an hour and a half away by car.
